33The child's father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 34Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too."
The underlined part of the verse sticks out to me very much. The presence of Jesus (before and after He was on the Earth) will be enough to cause many to make a choice as to whom they will serve.
You know, following the way of the world is a lazy path, but following Jesus is genuine worthwhile work. Jesus requires a person to develop themselves as an individual.
Yep, following Jesus is more worthwhile then not following Him.
