Promise of the Comforter - John 14 - Day Three

John 14
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
1. Jesus Promises us the Holy Spirit - a comforter to keep us in contact with the Lord. Also to help us.

2. We will not be made orphans. - Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit, so we would have some part of God within us, so we would/will never be alone. How loving!

3. You will see God when non-believers/"Christians" wont. - Because you keep the commandments of God, even when some "believers" do, you will see God manifested. That reward is so worth the effort.

4. Because Jesus lived, we will get to live. - Because Jesus saved us from ourselves, enemies, and everything else. Both physical and mental. That is what He is referring to, the ability to live free of all strongholds! Shalom.

5. We will come to the realization that we are part of God. - Because we have the Holy Spirit, who was part of God, and if Jesus is part of God, then we have God in us.

6. We will be loved by God. - Self-explanatory.
