A Lamp on a Stand - Luke

Luke 8
A Lamp on a Stand
16 “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. 17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. 18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

I didn't understand this until I thought of it in a different light. Jesus wasn't talking about people rich with money. He was talking about those who are rich with revelation and teachings. "consider carefully ow you listen." Watch who you let plant seeds into your life, because you might end up having nothing that produces from it.

If you have fruit from seeds planted in your life, good ones that caused you to grow and become a better person. Then that teaching was good.

Those who do not have the good will have their's taken away. It's nice to know that God will not waste and squander his precious words on people who do not appreciate what he does.
