Not Trusting in God - Isaiah 31

Isaiah 31
The Folly of Not Trusting God
1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
And rely on horses,
Who trust in chariots because they are many,
And in horsemen because they are very strong,
But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
Nor seek the LORD!
2 Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster,
And will not call back His words,
But will arise against the house of evildoers,
And against the help of those who work iniquity.
3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God;
And their horses are flesh, and not spirit.
When the LORD stretches out His hand,
Both he who helps will fall,
And he who is helped will fall down;
They all will perish together.
We need to consider what source we run to when we are in trouble. Do we go to God or to those of the world when in need of help? This is a very unwise thing to do. The Lord promises to bring judgement on the house of evildoers. And if you are asking for help from people who are like this, then you need to realize, when the Lord strikes them down, you fall right with them.

The Lord said to me that one of these sources is the government. They do help people in need, but take heed in becoming a dependent. The government is facing judgement in these days. Especially with wicked people in power.

Watch who you borrow from and who you lend too. These things need to be taken into consideration.

Amen.
